TechVaidya: One Year. Over a Thousand Articles. And a long road still ahead...

When we started TechVaidya as an e-paper a year ago, we didn't have big capital or a big team. We had just one simple question. Why should conversations about technology be limited only to people who already understand technology?

Every day the phone in our pocket is changing, the UPI we use is changing, the internet our kids use is changing, and AI that is changing the way we work is arriving. These changes don't just affect people in an IT company in Bangalore. They affect a farmer in Raichur, a student in Mysore, and a small shop owner in Dharwad too. So who will explain these changes to them in a language they actually understand? That thought is why TechVaidya was born.

In the last 365 days, we have published over a thousand articles. For us, that's not just a number. It's 365 days of waking up every morning and asking, "What useful information can we give our readers today?" We didn't just translate news in this journey. We tried to explain what AI really is, from the anxiety of whether it will take our jobs to how we can use it to make our own work easier. We tried to explain a cyber security warning - that a single link on your phone can empty your bank account - in a way your own family members can understand. When a new mobile was launched, we didn't just talk about how many megapixels its camera has, we honestly analyzed whether it is actually worth your daily use. Making a complex topic even more complex is easy. Making it simple is the difficult part. We chose the second one.

What started as an e-paper became a full-fledged web portal in just twenty weeks. Today it is no longer limited to the pages of a newspaper. It is a digital platform that reaches you with a new update at any moment, 24 hours a day. The fact that thousands of people read us every day is not just a view count for us. It is a measure of the trust you have placed in us.

So what is TechVaidya?

For us, TechVaidya is not just a website. As the name itself says, it is a platform that gives simple solutions and clear explanations for the confusions around technology. We don't blindly praise new technology. We question the risk, the opportunity and the impact behind it. For us, it's not just about giving information to the reader, it's about giving information in a way the reader can actually understand.

In this one-year journey, there were days when we had good advertising support, and there were days when we ran only on our own belief without a single rupee of income. But our publication never stopped for a single day. Because from day one, one thing was clear to us - making technology understandable to the common man is not just a business, it is a social responsibility. That responsibility is what made us write every day. For a media to grow continuously, along with the trust of its readers, financial stability is also necessary. If more organizations and brands collaborate with us, if more advertisements hold our hand, we will be able to consistently deliver much better journalism and more useful tech content in Kannada. That is not false, we will definitely be more encouraged.

There is not one person's effort behind these thousand-plus articles. Every reader who read, corrected, commented, shared it on WhatsApp, and pointed out mistakes is part of this. The writers who wrote with us, the friends who helped technically, the seniors who supported us from day one - you are all in this. One share, one comment, one "this was useful" from you is the biggest fuel that runs TechVaidya. Thank you sincerely to all of you.

But this is not a stage to celebrate and stop. Today TechVaidya is bigger, wider, and reaches more people than the platform we had when we started. We are proud of this growth, especially because we have done it without the backing of any big institution or financial power, on the path of independent and honest journalism. We are even more proud that whether there were advertisements or not, whatever the situation was, we never stopped publishing useful tech content for our readers. A thousand articles is just a milestone in our journey, the real goal is still ahead. In the coming days, TechVaidya should become one of the most trusted voices in Kannada tech journalism and reach more people through deeper analysis, video explainers and cyber awareness programs.

Stay with us in this journey. Keep reading.
